Russian servicemen have taken control of a command post of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Nikolaevka on Kiev outskirts.
61 Ukrainian servicemen of the command post voluntarily surrendered, more than half of them senior officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The servicemen laid down their arms en masse due to an acute shortage of supplies, ammunition and food.
All servicemen who had laid down their weapons were evacuated from the combat zone and, if necessary, medical assistance was provided to them. All Ukrainian servicemen were also provided with food.
The deputy chief of staff of the Ukrainian 503 separate battalion of marines tried to leave Mariupol. After an unsuccessful attempt, he reported that the remnants of the battalion were divided into groups and were trying to get out of the encirclement.
Yet another Ukrainian soldier/nationalist fighter attempting to flee from Mariupol disguised as a woman-refugee.
To date, dozens and dozens of militants, posing as refugees, have been detained at Russian checkpoints around the city.
