By a 2-1 vote, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday (Feb. 9) declined to block a lower court ruling that President Joe Biden can’t require federal employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Last month, U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Brown also blocked the federal government from enforcing President Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal workers.
In mid-January, the U.S. Supreme Court blocked Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for 80 million American workers.
In December, a third major COVID-19 vaccine requirement aimed at employees of federal contractors like airlines and manufacturers was also blocked by a federal judge.
