Dr. Deborah Birx, who served as the COVID-19 response coordinator under former President Donald Trump for the United States, testified for the first time on Thursday (June 23) before a House panel about her time in charge.
Appearing before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, Birx revealed that the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine efficacy claims were based on “hope”—not science—such as when President Joe Biden overstated the efficacy of vaccines by telling Americans in a CNN town hall, “You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.”
