Quebec is bringing back controversial lockdown policies—including an overnight curfew beginning Friday (Dec. 31) at 10 p.m. and continuing to 5 a.m. the next day. All restaurants, bars and places of worship are closed until further notice.
However, food delivery options will be allowed to continue.
Also beginning on Friday, private gatherings in homes will be banned. Only people who live alone or need caregivers will be allowed to join another family bubble.
Quebec Premier François Legault said if he could put a curfew on only the unvaccinated instead, he would.
