Dr. Paul Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and member of the FDA’s vaccine advisory panel who was formerly a top COVID-19 adviser to President Joe Biden, told The Atlantic on Tuesday (Jan. 11) that getting a COVID-19 booster shot wouldn’t be worth the risk for the average healthy 17-year-old boy.
Offit said he even advised his own son, who is in his 20s, not to get a third dose.
