Reports have emerged of foreign students alleging severe racism as they flee Ukraine, claiming they have faced violence and unfavorable treatment while trying to cross the border.
One Nigerian student told CNN “Ukrainians have been prioritized over Africans – men and women – at every point. There’s no need to ask why. We know why.”
Allegations included beatings, and Ukrainians being given transport while foreigners have been made to walk vast distances between checkpoints.
