Roughly 70% of Americans will be able to remove their masks indoors, including inside schools, under new guidance to be released by the CDC on Friday (Feb. 25).

Under the new metrics, more than half of U.S. counties—which make up 70% of where Americans live—will be in areas of low or medium risk and no longer recommended to wear masks.
Nobody in Az has had to wear a mask in 18 months aside from doctors offices. 70% lolol. Super Dem cities are the only ones who have been doing this. Everyone else hasn’t given a shit for over a year. The CDC can blow.

The new guidance will consider three factors: new COVID-19 hospitalizations, current beds occupied by COVID-19 patients and hospital capacity, and new COVID-19 cases.

However, the CDC requirement that people wear masks on public transportation will remain en force for now.
