CDC director Rochelle Walensky has told CNN the agency halved asymptomatic isolation guidelines from 10 to 5 days, as it feared people were not isolating.
Walensky added estimates show less than a third of Americans were isolating when they should have, saying “they would not necessarily tolerate being home and they may not comply with being home.”
Her words echoed Anthony Fauci, who had told MSNBC “we don’t have to have the draconian decision of shutting down the country” on Tuesday.
